MOOD STOP

workshop in Skopje

DAY 1

DAY 2

For the project MOOD STOP which was part of BINA (Belgrade International Architecture Week 2018) supported by Future Architecture Platform, we held a 2-day workshop in the National University Library “St. Clement of Ohrid” in Skopje (13-14/05/2018). The workshop was focused on creating a side panel for a bus stop consisting of a wooden frame and braided rope. The first day of the workshop, alongside 4 participants (Architecture students from Skopje) we explored the rope as a material and experimented with different braiding techniques and designs. Using wooden sticks and thin rope, we made a 1:20 scale model of the side panel. Through presentation and discussion, the final design was decided.

On the second day of the workshop, we worked in scale 1:1. The wooden frame, made by our carpenter Kiril Stojanoski, was assembled. After that, we started braiding the wooden frame by pushing the rope through the provided holes. The whole action took 4 hours after which we folded the side panel and packed it to transfer by car to Belgrade for BINA.

Participants at the workshop: Lora Deari, Ivana Kocevska, Angela Kuzmanovska, Teodora Bogdanoska.
Worshkop held by: Maja Lozanoska, Sara Simoska, Luka Radovikj.
