location: Center of Culture “Marko Cepenkov”, Prilep
On November 11th, we installed a summer library in the backyard of the Center of culture “Marko Cepenkov” in Prilep. The library consists of wooden modular elements Urban modular set according to the already existing concrete base.
The summer library will give the visitors the possibility to read the books they borrow from the library outside, in the open space. It will liven up the backyard of the library, which is rarely used, and will serve as a scenography for theater performances or other cultural events during the summer time.
Its main aim is to connect the activities that usually happen inside, and move them out in the open.
The intervention is an extension of the Urban modular project and uses the modular elements to create a new form, a new perspective specified to the actual situation.
